Shon Atsil
An amateur where spare parts are concerned, which is stated up front rather than left for you to work out.
Shon Atsil publishes Mower Parts Lookup. He is an amateur where spare parts are concerned — not a small-engine technician, never worked a dealership or a parts counter — and that belongs at the top of this page rather than buried in it. The site exists because ordering the wrong part for a mower turns out to be easy, common, and irritating enough to be worth solving properly. Which is why nothing here rests on his say-so: every fitment record cites the manufacturer page it came from and the date that page was read, and is re-checked against the same page by an independent review pass before it is published. Where a claim would need hands-on experience to make, this site does not make it. What he is responsible for is what gets published and what gets corrected — if a record here is wrong, report it and it will be fixed or withdrawn.
Plainly
What this byline does not claim
- No trade qualification, no small-engine certification, no time behind a dealership parts counter.
- No hands-on testing of the parts listed here. Guides state whether anyone performed the procedure, and ours are compiled from manufacturer documentation.
- No claim to know a part fits beyond what a manufacturer has published. Where a manufacturer is silent, so is this site.
Instead
Where the authority actually sits
In the sources. Every fitment claim on this site names the manufacturer page it came from and the date that page was read, so you can check it rather than trust it — and in a second review pass that re-reads each claim against that page before it publishes.
How we verify fitment sets out the method, and the editorial policy sets out what this site refuses to do.

Found something wrong?
A wrong fitment record costs a reader money, so corrections take priority over everything else here. Report it and it will be fixed or withdrawn.
