Mower blades
20120P→20122Pat 407000000
Toro lists 20120P for the 406000000–406999999 range and 20122P for this one.
The two listings are consecutive in Toro’s own range list, so the change falls at 407000000 rather than somewhere inside a span.
In detail
This production run
This is the rental TimeMaster — Toro titles its parts pages "TimeMaster 30in Lawn Mower (Home Depot Rental)" — and the blade is what changes across it. Toro lists the 15.4 Inch Atomic Blade kit, 20120P, for the three ranges up to 406999999. From 407000000 it lists the 15.4 Inch Hi-Lift Replacement Blade Kit, 20122P, and it does so for both of the remaining ranges.
**These are not the same blade under two numbers.** Neither product page carries a "Replaces Product" line in either direction, so Toro states no relationship between them at all. Its own names for them differ in kind rather than revision: KIT-BLADE, TIMEMASTER, 30IN against HI-LIFT REPL BLADE KIT TIMEMASTER.
What the two pages do and do not say is worth setting out, because it is less than you would expect. Both blades are 15.4 inch and both cost the same. The Atomic page adds that it "will help produce a crisp quality cut" and that the kit includes two blades; the Hi-Lift page says neither of those things, and carries only Toro's standard wording. **Nowhere does Toro say what a hi-lift blade does that an atomic one does not**, and we are not going to supply that ourselves. What we can tell you is that Toro changed which blade it lists at this serial, and not that one superseded the other, because Toro does not say that.
The same serial carries a second change that does look like a supersession, and it is worth knowing because it corroborates the boundary rather than because you would buy it here: the engine oil listed alongside goes from 117-0066 to 138-6053 at exactly 407000000, and asking either number's product URL serves 138-6053 above the line "Replaces Product 117-0066". Two changes at one serial, one of them a supersession Toro states.
All five listings Toro publishes for this model have been opened, and the two either side of this boundary are consecutive.

What we have recorded for this serial range
We record the part categories this site covers. Toro’s own listing for this range carries other accessories besides.
Mower blades
15.4 Inch Hi-Lift Replacement Blade Kit (TimeMaster) 20122P
Listed by Toro as the blade kit on its parts page for model 21199HD, serial range 407000000–412999999.
Not listed here
Listed for a neighbouring run, but not this one
Absence from a parts listing is not a statement that a part does not fit. It is the manufacturer not saying.
20120P Not verified
Toro does not list blade kit 20120P on its parts page for model 21199HD, serial range 407000000–412999999; that listing shows 20122P instead. Toro states no relationship between the two numbers, so this is recorded as unknown rather than as a part that was replaced.
If you are close to the edge
Serial numbers near a boundary
Serial numbers just under 407000000 fall in the previous range, where Toro lists the Atomic blade kit. On a machine that has been rented, the model number on the plate is not enough — read the serial, because the two blades are different blades.
Method
How we established this
All five of Toro’s parts listings for model 21199HD were opened, following the serial-range selector on the listings themselves, and their accessory lists compared within the part categories this site records. The pages carry further items we hold no record for — engine oils, striping kits and a replacement frame and bag kit — and those move across the ranges too; they are described here and not recorded, because this site holds no category for them. Parts present in one listing and absent from another are recorded as unknown rather than incompatible.
The common mistake: Buying the blade that fits a 21199 because this machine is also a TimeMaster. It is the rental unit, it has its own model number, and past 407000000 Toro lists a different kind of blade for it.

Lists blade kit 20122P, the 15.4 Inch Hi-Lift Replacement Blade Kit, and engine oil 138-6053 in place of 117-0066. Toro’s own page title names this machine the Home Depot Rental TimeMaster, which is how it differs from the 21199.

Lists blade kit 20120P, the 15.4 Inch Atomic Blade, and the obsolete engine oil 117-0066. Toro’s own page title names this machine the Home Depot Rental TimeMaster, which is how it differs from the 21199.

15.4 Inch Atomic Blade (Part # 20120P)
The Toro Company · Primary source · Accessed August 21, 2026
Toro’s product page for the blade kit, served directly at this number with no redirect and carrying no supersession line. It gives Toro’s internal name for the part, KIT-BLADE, TIMEMASTER, 30IN, and states that the kit includes two blades each measuring 15.4 in. It gives no centre-hole dimension and no thickness, and it names no machine — instead it says the blade has multiple applications and tells the reader to verify make and serial number to get the right part. That instruction is the manufacturer making this site’s own argument on its own page.

15.4 Inch Hi-Lift Replacement Blade Kit (TimeMaster) (Part # 20122P)
The Toro Company · Primary source · Accessed August 21, 2026
Toro’s product page for the hi-lift kit, served directly at this number with no redirect and carrying no supersession line. It states no quantity, no measurement of any kind, and no instruction to verify a serial number — nothing beyond the part name. Recorded because a record on this site attributed a two-blade statement to this page, and the statement is on 20120P’s page instead.
