Toro 21199
Striping kits for the Toro 21199
Short answer
The 30 in. striper 20602, on every listing but one. That one names 20601 instead — and the run directly above goes back, so we do not read it as a change.

What decides it
The numbers that matter here
- Which kit
20602, the 30 in. striper, on all but one listing
It is the one Toro names for this machine throughout, and its name matches the machine’s cutting width. 20601 appears on a single run and the run above reverts.
- Serial range
One run names 20601 instead — not treated as a change
403600000–404319999 names 20601 and not 20602, and 404320000 goes straight back. A swap that reverses after one run gives no direction, and that listing moves several unrelated parts at once.
- Do not assume the 30 in. kit fits a 21 in. mower
20602 is listed for the three 30 in. TimeMasters only
Across eleven machines here, 20602 appears on those three. 20601 appears on all of them. Toro publishes no rule about which suits which, so the listings are the evidence.
In detail
Choosing striping kits for this mower
Toro lists two striping kits across the machines on this site, and the 21199 is listed with the one whose name matches it.
20602 is the 30 Inch Lawn Striper for Walk Power Mower, and it is named on every 21199 listing that carries accessories except one. 20601, the Striping Kit for Walk-Behind Mowers, is named on that single run — 403600000–404319999 — and 20602 is absent from it. The run directly above names 20602 again and does not name 20601, and it stays that way to the newest listing.
A number that replaces another for one run and is replaced back is the shape this site refuses to call a boundary. There is no direction in it: nothing says the machine started taking a different striper, and the same listing also drops a maintenance kit and swaps the blade, so several unrelated things move at once. The blade change there is real and has its own page. The striper is recorded as unknown for that run, meaning Toro did not name 20602 on it — not that a 21199 in that range takes a different striper.
The wider pattern is worth knowing before you shop. **20602 is listed for three machines on this site and no others: the 21199, the 21199HD and the 21200.** Those are the three 30 in. TimeMaster variants, which is what the kit’s own name says. 20601 is listed for all eleven machines here, 30 in. and 21 in. alike. Toro states no rule connecting a striper to a class of mower, so this is what its listings do rather than a policy it has published.
A striper is an accessory and not a service part. It changes nothing about how the deck cuts — it bends the grass behind the mower so it catches light differently.
The mistake we see most
Method
How we established this
We opened all eleven listings Toro publishes for model 21199 and recorded which striping kits each names, then compared against every other model this site holds. The claim that 20602 is listed for three machines is a count across all of them, not an impression from a few.

The answer is not the same on every machine, which is the point of checking rather than assuming.

Striping Kit for Walk-Behind Mowers (Part # 20601)
The Toro Company · Primary source · Accessed August 31, 2026
The number requested, no redirect and no “Replaces Product” line. Internal designation WPM LAWN STRIPER. Toro describes the Lawn Striping System as adding “professional-looking, ball-park quality stripes and patterns to your lawn, while you mow”, and says it “attaches to most walk-behind mowers” and works “with and without bagger attachment”. “Most” is Toro’s word and not a fitment: which machines it is listed for is what the rows here record.

30 Inch Lawn Striper for Walk Power Mower (WPM) (Part # 20602)
The Toro Company · Primary source · Accessed August 31, 2026
The number requested, no redirect and no “Replaces Product” line — asked a second time and specifically, because the first read of the page did not report either way and “not mentioned” is not “not present”. Internal designation LAWN STRIPER, 30IN. The description is the generic template Toro repeats across part pages, so the only thing this page adds is the width in the name. Marked Not Available Online. It names no machine: the serial field on the page reads None-None.
