Choosing mower blades for this mower
Most pages on this site exist because a model number is not enough. This one exists because sometimes it appears to be, and that is worth publishing too.
Toro splits the 21565 into ten parts listings. We opened three of them — the earliest, 400000000–411499999; a middle one, 415200000–418291622; and the latest, 421192967–999999999. The accessory lists are the same in all three. Same blade, 108-3759-03. Same maintenance kit, 130-8148. Same chute, same covers.
That is a useful result, because the honest version of "check your serial number" is not "the answer always changes". It is "you cannot know whether it changed until you look". On the 20334 the maintenance kit changes between two adjacent ranges. On the 21199 a blade number leaves and comes back. Here, across the earliest, middle and latest listings, nothing we opened moves at all.
Two cautions. We opened three of ten, and we deliberately spread them across the span rather than taking three adjacent ones — but three matching listings is evidence, not proof, and the seven we did not open could hold something else. And this is a 21 in. machine: Toro's name for the blade says so, and the mowers elsewhere on this site are 22 in. Toro does not say whether their blades interchange, so we do not either.
