Toro 20339
Fuel treatment for the Toro 20339
Short answer
130-2393 on every run this machine has — though on the oldest only inside a kit. The 12 oz bottle 131-6572 joins it from 400000000.

What we have verified
What decides it
The numbers that matter here
- Which number
130-2393 on every run; 131-6572 from 400000000 upward
The packet is named on all of them. The 12 oz bottle is named on the runs from 400000000 and on none below, which is a fact about what those pages list rather than about the mower.
- If your serial is 314000001–314999999
The packet is inside kit 20234, not sold on its own
Toro names 130-2393 there only in the kit's description. You cannot buy it separately from that page, and a kit's contents can change without its number changing.
- The newer kit holds it too
But Toro publishes that only on the page that replaces 130-8148
The listing shows a kit with no contents. Requesting 130-8148 serves kit 20298, which itemizes a packet of 130-2393 — and states the kit is for serial 400000000 or greater.
- How much is in the packet
Toro prints 0.5 oz in two places and .05 oz in a third
The 20234 card and 130-2393's own name say 0.5 oz; the 20298 page says .05 oz. One of them is wrong by a factor of ten and we are not going to guess which.
- 131-3823 is not a treatment
It is ready-mixed fuel, listed alongside from 400000000
It appears with 131-6572 and is easy to read as a second bottle of the same thing. Toro's own page for it describes fuel rather than an additive.
In detail
Choosing fuel treatment for this mower
Toro names 130-2393, a packet of Premium Fuel Treatment, on every run it publishes for the 20339. There is no serial range on this machine where a fuel treatment is missing from the page. What changes is whether you can buy one by itself.
On the oldest run, 314000001–314999999, you cannot. That listing names four accessories and the packet is not among them. It appears inside the card for engine maintenance kit 20234, whose description itemizes what the kit holds: 20 oz of SAE 30 engine oil, a spark plug, an air filter, and a 0.5 oz packet of fuel treatment given as 130-2393. **The number is on the page and the page sells the kit.** This site records that range as conditional for that reason, and because a kit's contents can change without its number changing.
From 315000001 the packet has a card of its own and can be bought alone, with the kit still listed beside it.
**131-6572, the 12 oz bottle, arrives at 400000000 and never leaves.** Read by itself that looks like the moment this machine gained a second option. It is not: nine other numbers arrive there at once — both engine oils, a mesh bag, a rear wheel, the ready-mixed fuel — and two leave. Unrelated things do not change on a mower in step, so the runs below are recorded as unknown for the bottle rather than as machines that could not have had it.
**What leaves is the more interesting half.** Kit 20234 goes and 130-8148 takes its place, and 130-8148 does not print its contents on the listing. Ask Toro for that number as a product and it serves a different page — kit 20298, under the line “Replaces Product 130-8148” — and *that* page itemizes: an 18 oz bottle of 4-cycle oil, a spark plug, an air filter, and a packet of 130-2393.
So the packet is inside every maintenance kit this machine has been listed with, old and new. **Where Toro says so is what moves** — printed on the listing card for the old kit, and only on a superseding product page for the new one. Reading the listing alone would show a kit with no published contents at all.
That same page states the kit is for machines with a serial number of 400000000 or greater, which is the serial where this machine's listings switch to it. Two Toro surfaces agreeing on a boundary is rarer here than it sounds.
**One caution.** The 20298 page gives the packet as “.05 oz.” where the 20234 card and 130-2393's own listing name both give 0.5 oz — a tenfold difference in Toro's own printing, for one part number. We are not going to say which is the slip. If the amount matters to you, read the label on what arrives.
131-3823 sits beside these on every run from 400000000 and is not a treatment. It is All Season 4-Cycle Fuel: fuel itself rather than something added to fuel, which is what its own product page settles.
The mistake we see most
Method
How we established this
We opened all nine listings Toro publishes for model 20339 and recorded which fuel treatments each names, counting a number sold on its own card separately from one named only inside another part's description. The oldest listing and both kit product pages were re-opened on 31 August 2026. That 130-8148 serves a page for 20298 is why the newer kit's contents are here at all: the listing publishes none, and asking the number's own URL is what surfaced them.

The answer is not the same on every machine, which is the point of checking rather than assuming.

Engine Maintenance Kit for Briggs & Stratton Engine (Part # 20234)
The Toro Company · Primary source · Accessed August 31, 2026
Toro’s product page for the kit, and one of the few in this family that is a page for the number requested rather than for a part replacing it. It itemizes the kit: 20 oz. SAE 30 engine oil (120-3306), a spark plug (120-3305), an air filter (120-3303) and a 0.5 oz. packet of fuel treatment (130-2393). It carries no line saying this kit replaces another number or has been replaced by one. **Re-read 31 August 2026 and unchanged in every particular, including the 0.5 oz.** — which matters, because the page Toro serves for 130-8148 gives the same packet as .05 oz. Two further details this record had not held: the internal designation TORO WPM MAINT KIT - BRIGGS, and a Specifications row reading Service Pack Yes.

Briggs & Stratton EXi Engine Maintenance Kit (Part # 20298) — reached from /product/130-8148
The Toro Company · Primary source · Accessed August 31, 2026
Requesting the 130-8148 product URL serves the product page for 20298 and carries the line “Replaces Product 130-8148”. That page itemizes the kit: an 18 oz. bottle of 4-cycle engine oil (38916), one spark plug (130-8167), one air filter (130-8165) and a .05 oz. packet of fuel treatment (130-2393). The itemization is published for 20298, not for 130-8148. **Re-read 31 August 2026, and it publishes one thing this record had not captured: a condition.** The page states the kit is designed for Toro lawn mowers with a Briggs & Stratton EXi 163cc engine and a serial number of 400000000 or greater. That is a fitment stated on a product page rather than on a parts listing, which is rare here, and it was cited by a category note before this record held it.

All Season 4-Cycle Fuel for Lawn Mowers and Snow Blowers 32 oz (Part # 131-3823)
The Toro Company · Primary source · Accessed August 31, 2026
The number requested, no redirect and no “Replaces Product” line. Internal designation 4-CYCLE FUEL, SNOW AND LAWN, 32OZ CAN. Toro describes it as “ethanol-free fuel formulated specifically for outdoor power equipment engines” with “no mixing required — pours straight in”. That settles what it is: fuel itself, not something added to fuel, which is why it is not filed beside the Premium Fuel Treatments in pt_fuel_additives. Recorded as a source with no part and no fitments while the category question is with the owner — the evidence is kept even though the record is not made.

Premium Fuel Treatment (12 oz.) (Part # 131-6572)
The Toro Company · Primary source · Accessed August 31, 2026
Toro’s own page for the number requested, with no redirect and no “Replaces Product” line in either direction. It describes what the treatment is for — protecting small 2-cycle and 4-cycle engines from ethanol-blended fuels — and names no machine, model or engine, so it establishes what the part is and nothing about what it fits. Every fitment for this number rests on the parts listings instead. **Re-read 31 August 2026 and unchanged.** Internal designation TORO PREMIUM FUEL TREATMENT 12 OZ BTL. It publishes no ratio: a bullet says to refer to the product label for the correct dosage for your fuel tank size, which is a pointer rather than a quantity.
